GAH! I swear this picture nearly killed me!!

But I said I was going to try something different with the background, and I meant it! And beyond that, I succeeded!!

The background was truly what too me so long to finish this, as I had the sketch finished before I even did the Ibizan hound one. But I wanted a background that matched the dog, so to that end I experimented with a few brushes that I made myself and toyed with the shading a bit more. I'm not sure if I got it all completely right, but I'm improving and this is the best thing I've created Ever!!

This image was created for my dog game Canis novus. I'm surprised it took me so long to even attempt this image as German Shepherds are my main breed on the game. I created three other colors, and will eventually attempt a fourth. but for now, I must rest.
